About the Fremont Arts Council

The Fremont Arts Council, a 501(c)(3) believes art helps build stronger communities and it creates a sense of place. Fremont is a state of mind, not a zip code.

The FAC celebrates life through art by encouraging participation in the arts through events and education.  Our signature event is the Fremont Solstice Parade which has grown into Seattle’s largest creative art event.  Other events through the year include Petit Troll, May Day, Luminata, Trolloween, and Winter Feast.   We care for public art like the Fremont Troll, and engage everyone year-round in workshops and classes to inspire seasoned and upcoming artists.  Our home base, the Power House, is available year-round to make art and meet with each other.  The FAC is powered by volunteers.  The work of volunteer committees/teams is coordinated by the FAC Board of Directors.

We use our creativity to build a stronger community allowing art to be an integral part of everyday life. We promote diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds & art forms.
