Bones Drop-In Art Project

DROP IN ART PROJECT: One Million Bones

One Million Bones is a collaborative art installation designed to recognize the millions of victims and survivors who have been killed or displaced by ongoing genocides and mass atrocities in Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Burma.

.

In Spring of 2013, one million bones – made by communities around the US – will flood our nation’s capital.

The Fremont Arts Council is supporting this effort by making bones to send to DC in 2013.

Our Mission is to create a visible movement that will increase global awareness of these atrocities while raising the critical funds needed to protect and aid displaced and vulnerable survivors.

.

For One Million Bones to realize its vision, we need people to create and donate bones for this event.

GET INVOLVED.

Come make a bone in the Powerhouse Studio during studio hours (Mon-Fri 6-9pm, Sat-Sun 12-5pm through June 17th.)

Make another one.

Talk about why you are doing this with everyone.

Bi-Law ReVote

FAC members will soon see a link to a voting website.

Because of low turn out on the last attempt to pass this measure, we get to do it AGAIN!

This is the Fremont Arts Council’s (FAC) second attempt to make a
needed change in the FAC Bylaws. If you are a member, you are needed to vote on this one initial change. The FAC must comply to new state and IRS regulations, and we can not make those changes until we make this initial first change.

On June 5th, the next FAC Board meeting, at 6 PM, the voting will be closed and counted. If we have not heard from you, you can expect a direct call from a FAC Board member, reminding you to vote.

Please vote early and avoid the pleading and begging, although if you are in the need
for that, call me personally, as I am one of the best at pleading and
begging. I will really sell myself for the FAC.
