Committee of the Whole

  • Tuesday July 11, 2017: FAC conversation on racial justice and community art

Please join us for a conversation. As part of our continuing process of growth and development in support of our diverse community; we have invited Moral Choice consultants to introduce this discussion:

Moral Choice: Power, Positionality, and Making Powerful Choices

Moral Choice is an anti-racism training and consulting organization with a mission to advance racial justice by helping individuals and organizations build skills to examine racism, dismantle systemic oppression, and actively and appropriately implement anti-racist policies, protocols, and life practices.

Join Us for the Committee of the Whole – Lovingly known as the COW!

The Committee of the Whole is a seat of creative activity for the organization. The monthly COW meetings provide an opportunity to engage FAC members and others in a discussion, and in the work and activities of the FAC.

Monthly on the Second Tuesdays 7 – 8:30pm at the Powerhouse Art Studio. (3940 Fremont Ave. N)

The monthly COW meetings include opportunities to:

    • Hear one minute announcements from our community
    • Share your creative adventures and engage others
    • Learn how to get involved in upcoming events and artful gatherings
    • Brainstorm!
    • Hear presentations from community members about cool projects and events
    • Find out what the FAC Leadership Teams are up to, and how to get involved.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

The Fremont Arts Council engages community to cultivate the spirit of celebration where everyone is an artist.

All are welcome to participate in FAC sponsored activities and events. We welcome a diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds & art forms.  The FAC strategic plan framework provides a vision for building a solid foundation for the FAC to support world class art and celebrations and continual improvements to build a supportive and inclusive community culture.
