Feast of the Winter Solstice

Thursday, December 21st, 2017, 6 pm -1 am

The Feast of the Winter Solstice is a spectacular annual gathering for the Fremont Arts Council community. We gather on the longest night of the year to reflect on the past, and to craft our dreams for the future with the returning sunlight.

Together in the Great Hall members of the Fremont Arts Council and invited guests mark the season with shared dishes, lavish costumes and artful celebration. The Hall is replete with live music, art installations and chatter from the Tea House. The costumes are a spectrum of dance floor royalty, high animal spirits glittering mermaids, Titania and Oberon, tuxes and feathers.

And in true Solstice tradition, the Great Hall is created by the revelers themselves — the decorations, the costumes and the potluck dishes to share.
