Hot on the heels of our wonderful Fremont Solstice Parade® and Celebration, we are already dreaming up what’s next. Summer is a great time to come play in the sandbox with us! Here’s what’s happening:
The 29th Annual Fremont Solstice® Parade 2017
Thanks to the inspired artists, hard-working volunteers, and the cheering crowds on the street, the Fremont Solstice® Parade brought the community together for a dazzling summer celebration! Thanks also to our generous sponsors for helping to make it possible for over 40 community-based, people-powered ensembles to strut down the streets of Fremont, wending their way to Gasworks for a rockin’ after-party. Next year is number 30! What splendid floats, costumes, and revelry will you create?

Parade Afterglow Party – Sunday, August 20th 4-8 p.m.
Join us for a BBQ to celebrate YOU — the volunteers, ensembles, cheerleaders, true believers, and all humans that power the Fremont Solstice Parade!! See you at 41 Dravus Street, Seattle. Bring yourself and a side dish, appetizer or dessert to share, and parade photos, videos, stories and musical instruments! We’ll provide burgers & dogs (with vegetarian options) & the fixings, as well as beer & sangria. The evening includes: time to mingle and share stories, live music, view parade video and photos, and a spontaneous ceremony to celebrate our creative community. Plus, receive a SWAG bag of FAC gratitude. RSVP is appreciated to help us plan for you: email@example.com
Float Storage (we found it!)
The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) is thrilled to report that we’ve found float storage! We are so grateful to Seattle City Light, council members Lisa Herbold and Mike O’Brien and many others at the City for their leadership in securing this space for years to come. “The Fremont Solstice Parade is part of the history and fabric of our community. It’s one of only five City-wide events officially designated by the City of Seattle. We are pleased to help them find a great space to preserve an important part of Seattle’s culture,” said Seattle City Light General Manager and CEO Larry Weis.
