Volunteer in the Parade

The Fremont Solstice Parade couldn’t happen each and every year without the support and dedication of our volunteers! This year, we would like to invite you to become a part of this unique experience.

The Parade needs volunteers to help out both Pre-Parade and during the actual event. We need Parade Monitors, Registration Check-In Staff, help maintaining our workspace, and much more!

Volunteers can receive community service hours for time donated and as a Thank You for all of your hard work, we host a Volunteer Appreciation Party the Thursday after the Parade where we treat you to some refreshments and revel in the success of another Solstice!

Pre-Parade

Help us get the Parade up and rolling! Duties include Art Studio Assistants, Street Team, Sewing Superstars, and Friday Night movers and shakers. Sign up here.

Parade Monitor

This is one of our most crucial jobs and one of the best places to view the Parade. In exchange for reminding guests to stay out of the street and helping the Parade Security Team, you’ll receive Hospitality Coupons for the Solstice Celebration at Gas Works Park.  A required orientation meeting will take place on Saturday, June 11th from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Powerhouse Studio. Go here for more detailed information.

In-Parade Crew

Become part of the Parade! We need lots of people to dress up and march along the Parade route doing a variety of tasks. These include fundraising, mobile merch sales, and program distribution. Grab your friends and get creative! Sign up here.

During Parade

These jobs are crucial for the success of the Parade. Work the merch booth, information booth, VIP stages, etc! Great for people who are good at interacting with the public. Sign up here.

Gas Works Park Crew

Help make the Solstice Celebration a success once the parade arrives at the park. We need people to work information and merch booths, keep our park clean, provide first aid to people, and help us break down the park. Sign up here.
