The Fremont Arts Council engages community to cultivate the spirit of celebration where everyone is an artist.
In support of this mission, The FAC confirms that:
The FAC exists to support community art. We do this by providing resources, workshops, events, and other opportunities in support of our belief that everyone is an artist, and that art makes our communities strong. We recognize that this work depends on everyone feeling welcome and empowered to contribute. We believe that by actively reaching out to expand our community we can find the strength that comes from being as diverse and inclusive as possible. We affirm our commitment to look at our actions with kindness and a racial equity lens, so we can do our part to dismantle systemic racism in our community.
We affirm our commitment to providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for creating art and celebrations.
We invite artists and community members of all backgrounds and identities to join us in conversation around these issues. We are always open to feedback, thoughtful dialogue and ideas that will move this work forward.
We strive to keep our common spaces free from oppressive action, behavior and language. We follow the following social expectations…
