Painted Cyclists 2019

Are you planning to join the painted cyclists before the 2019 Fremont Solstice Parade? Here are things you should know:
TIMELINE
11:30 AM-12:30 PM The “Stray” Cyclist area HAS MOVED to N. Bowdoin and Leary Ave. Cyclists not with the Solstice Cyclist Paint Party at CSR line up here. Solstice Cyclist volunteers will be there to help.
12:30 PM The Parade Route is shut down and cleared by the SPD. This includes cyclists coming from the east, trying to make their way toward the start of the Parade. Please exit the route and use 39th St or use the Burke Gilman Trail to get to N. Bowdoin and Leary Ave.
1:00 PM The Solstice Cyclists will enter the Parade Route at Leary Ave and continue straight through the Parade Route to GasWorks. There is no looping this year.
The Fremont Solstice Parade starts immediately after Solstice Cyclists pass the start.

-Please ride the speed that is designated by the Solstice Cyclist volunteers. They determine a safe course and speed for both cyclists and Parade viewers.
-Be respectful of other parade participants and follow the Solstice Cyclist volunteers. Don’t ever ride back into the Solstice Parade or among the ensembles; there are adults and children moving and performing in the Parade.
-If you must return towards the start of the Parade, please exit the route and return on N. 39th St.
-Don’t be impaired. There’s some tricky riding involved; alcohol and other drugs don’t mix with this.
-The Fremont Solstice Parade is an art parade. We ask that you be painted for the ride. We ask that you follow the spirit of the Parade- no words, no logos!
-Act appropriately and be respectful. Washington state law says public nudity is ok unless one “intentionally makes any open and obscene exposure of his or her person or the person of another knowing that such conduct is likely to cause reasonable affront or alarm.”
-If you plan to hang out at GasWorks after the Parade for the Solstice Celebration, please know that proper clothing is required to be worn inside the Beer Garden.
