Committee of the Whole (COW) Meeting –  (new date) Monday, January 20, 7-8:30 pm

This month: Get Involved- VISION!  Please join us at our monthly COW meeting. This is where we come together as a community and dream up what’s next. Find out what the FAC is up to and how you can get involved. This month: we’re making VISION BOARDS – for ourselves and for the FAC. Using collage technique, we want to envision what 2020 will be for our community! Meet at the Powerhouse, 3940 Fremont Ave. N., Seattle at 7 pm.

FAC Happy Hour and Mixer, hosted by the FAC Board of Directors —  Tuesday, January 21, 6-8PM

Have you always wondered about what really makes the Fremont Arts Council tick? Interested in getting involved in the creative magic-making year-round? Join the Board of Directors for a Happy Hour at Roxy’s Diner in Fremont, 462 N 36th St.! Mix and mingle with FAC Board members, and fellow creative instigators. We have information to share with you about what happens behind the Powerhouse doors, and also complimentary appetizers (heavy hors d’oeuvres?) courtesy of our friends at Roxy’s. $5 drink tickets are available for beer, wine and well drinks.   RSVP appreciated to fac@fremontartscouncil.org.   Details …

Petit Troll Parade —  Sunday, February 23, 2020

This petit parade is done in the spirit of Mardi Gras! Sunday, February 23rd (just before Fat Tuesday), we will do a flash-mob-style procession, pulling our tiny glittering floats through the Fremont Sunday Market while the band plays. Petit Troll Mardi Gras Fundraiser —  Tuesday, February 25, 2020

Like any good Mardi Gras krewe, we’re having a ball on Fat Tuesday at Lagunitas Brewery from 5:30-8:30 PM. Bring your masks, costumes and floats and let the Petit Troll party continue! Snap a pic in our photobooth! Take a chance on our raffle prizes! We’ll have jambalaya and red beans and rice from Ester’s Enoteca! And enjoy a beer from Lagunitas Brewery – all proceeds from food and beer sales go to supporting the Fremont Arts Council and the Fremont Solstice Parade! Details…

Seeking Parade Staff

In support of the 2020 Fremont Solstice Parade, the FAC is looking for a Parade Coordinator and an Administrative Manager. These are temporary contract positions through June 30, 2020, with a volunteer stipend.  Graduate level students looking for internship are also encouraged to apply.  

Seeking Design Proposals for the Fremont Solstice Parade Poster

Every year we make a poster for the Fremont Solstice Parade. We also use the design elements in parade promotions. These design pieces are distributed and displayed all over the region. We invite arts to submit designs for consideration for use in this year’s campaign.  Details …
