Hey! It’s that time of year again, when the sweethearts exchange chocolate and flowers and begin their planning for the Fremont Solstice Parade!
The Fremont Arts Council will host the 24th Solstice Parade on Saturday, June 16th, 2012—and what a year for radical self-expression. What better way to celebrate the apocalypse, then to create a poignant ensemble, or an outrageous installation at Gas Works Park?
Bring us your wild ideas, your insane impossibilities, and your best recipe for fun.

Wow! 2012! What a year for radical self-expression!
Join us in creating this spectacular and beloved event, the Fremont Solstice Parade. Bring your ideas and wild inspiration for this year’s parade. Bring your enthusiasm and volunteer energy. Bring a potluck dish and a friend. But most of all, bring your shining self, and help us prepare what 2012 has in store for the streets of Fremont.
We will discuss parade theme, activities along the parade route, and what will happen in Gas Works Park. We will laugh, and we will snack, and we will make magic happen.
This retreat is open to EVERYONE who wishes to be involved with the Solstice Parade.
