Events
The Fremont Arts Council meets at least once monthly at the Committee of the Whole (the C.O.W.) on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm in the Powerhouse.
Our yearly schedule of seasonal events include (but are not limited to):
- May Day – May 1st, 5pm at Woodland Park, dust off those dancin’ shoes and come wrap the May-pole
- Fremont Summer Solstice Parade – coincides with the Summer Solstice and the Fremont Fair, on Saturday prior to the Summer Solstice
- Luminata - A community walk around Green Lake at dusk with handmade luminaries on the Autumn Equinox
- Trolloween/Trollaween (spelling depends on if you hail from Sweden or Norway) – The Fremont Troll’s Birthday, 7 pm at the Troll on October 31st
- Feast of the Winter Solstice – coincides with the Winter Solstice, to find out more you will need to become a Member
Additionally several other planning meetings, fundraising and/or workshop events happen during the course of the year. (These events are slightly more unpredictable as to their occurrences, depending what our members have up their collective sleeves.)
Keep an eye on our Calendar page. We also co-sponsor events with other arts organizations and community groups such as Moisture Festival, Honk!Fest West, Oktoberfest, the Fremont Abbey Arts Center and more.
