Fremont Solstice Parade

The 2017 Fremont Solstice Parade will be on Saturday June 17 starting at 1pm.

(note that the Parade will be starting EARLIER next year)

Welcome to the Fremont Arts Council’s most spectacular event.
We celebrate the longest day of the year through music, dance, art, and a kaleidoscope of individual human expression. First, we have a parade! More than 60 community-based ensembles bring giant puppets, stilt walkers, floats, and more, to the streets of Fremont. Then, we end the parade with the Solstice Celebration at Gas Works Park, where we celebrate with local and national street bands, food trucks, beer garden, and more art!

  •  Friday May 5:   McKay Parade Artist Reception.   Join us in celebrating the artists and photographers that bring the Fremont Solstice Parade to life.  At the Fremont First Friday Artwalk, 6-9pm.  Doric Lodge, 619 N. 36th St.
  • Saturday May 20:  Parade Open House at the Powerhouse.  Noon – 5pm.  At the Powerhouse Public Art Studio – 3940 Fremont Ave N.
