Got a wild idea for a parade float, ensemble, or soccer-inspired installation for the Fremont Solstice Parade this year? The Fremont Arts Council is calling creatives, aspiring artists, designers, builders, movers, and makers to help bring the parade to life.

This year, the Fremont Arts Council is offering two Parade Art grant opportunities.
The Dave McKay Solstice Parade Art Grant & World Cup 2026 Art Grant
Grant Opportunities
Materials and transportation grants available up to $1,000.
Applications are open to: Individual artists , Artist teams or collectives, Community groups, Organizations
Important: Each artist or group may receive only one grant award. Projects are not eligible to receive funding from both grants.
Dave McKay Solstice Parade Art Grant
This grant supports bold, community-driven, people-powered art created specifically for the Fremont Solstice Parade.
Imagine: Rolling floats, Towering puppets and sculptures, Music and dance, Movement and spectacle, Large-scale visual creations
Projects funded through this grant
do not need to be soccer-themed.
Solstice Parade Art Rules
All parade art must follow the long-standing Solstice traditions:
People-powered
Non-motorized
No written words
No logos
No motorized vehicles
World Cup 2026 Art Grant
With the 2026 World Cup coming to Seattle, the City has selected the Fremont Arts Council to host a premier community celebration in Fremont.
This grant supports soccer-themed art projects created specifically for the festivities.
Eligible Project Types
Soccer-themed parade art or ensemble groups
Large-scale stationary art installations placed throughout the Fremont neighborhood
Stationary installations will be featured on the Official Fremont Soccer Art Walking Tour Map, guiding local fans and international visitors directly to your artwork.
We are looking for projects that celebrate unity and the universal spirit of the game.
Note:
Words or artist handles are permitted on stationary installations, but no corporate advertising or outside business promotion is allowed.
