This one-of-a-kind, community-powered celebration fills the streets with dazzling art, joyful performances, and boundless creativity. Free and open to all, the parade welcomes artists, performers, and dreamers to join in the spectacle
What makes the Fremont Solstice Parade unique?
EVERYONE CAN BE AN ARTIST Full participation is open to the public.
PEOPLE POWERED No motorized vehicles are allowed, except electric wheelchairs.
No printed words or logos
No animals, except service animals.

Parade Crew
It takes a huge team to bring the Fremont Solstice Parade to life. We’d love to have you involved!
Help keep the parade safe and running smoothly by monitoring the route, assisting spectators, and supporting parade operations throughout the day. Includes a short pre-parade training session.
Parade Monitor
$25/hr
Assist with traffic control by monitoring side streets and helping maintain safe road closures around the parade route. This is a paid position at $30/hr and requires working away from parade viewing areas.
Street Closure Monitor
$35/hr
Help keep Fremont beautiful by following behind the parade and cleaning debris from the streets and sidewalks. This paid position earns $30/hr and plays an important role in parade operations.
Street Cleanup Crew
$30/hr
Help raise funds for the parade while engaging with the crowd along the route! Greenhats collect donations during the parade to help support this community event. This is a paid position at $30/hr.
Greenhat Team
$35/hr
